Masses of ‘Tommies’ (Crocus tommasiniannus). Native to Bulgaria and Hungary, these little bulbs will spread and naturalize. I live in a town that began in the early 20th century and right now everywhere you look front lawns look like this. It’s quite lovely.   Photo by J. Caceano.
